Dial-A-Story is a connected phone booth where you can listen to short stories or anecdotes from authors and reply with your own: the story you tell is recorded and published anonymously on the Dial-A-Story website.

INNI was commissioned to design and build the booth. An important aesthetic consideration was to find a balance between exception and archetype. The warmth of mid century bent plywood and slightly looney character soften the steel phone console while retaining some composure: enough to be recognised as a public pay phone but not confused as one.
